Bangkok is located on the Chao Phraya River – 40 km north of the Gulf of Thailand and is one of Southeast Asia’s main financial centers. Bangkok is a popular tourist destination with over 15 million visitors annually. Townscape is dominated by skyscrapers, and Bangkok has some of the world’s best hotels, as well as excellent shopping opportunities – with more than 250 shopping centers and department stores. A well-known tourist attraction in Bangkok is Wat Phra Kaew – a Buddhist temple from 1782 – which is characterized by its numerous pinnacles.

On the coast of central and southern Thailand are long and inviting beaches, fine hotels and crystal clear water. The famous and touristy Phuket offers a paradise beach, great shopping and a vibrant nightlife.
The main airport in Thailand’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, located 25 km east of the capital.(The airport is also called the “New Bangkok International Airport”).
The country’s second busiest airport is Phuket International Airport, located approx. 30 km from Phuket city center.
